Privacy Policy
How Habi handles your data — what stays on your device, what we collect anonymously, and what we never collect.
Introduction
Welcome to Habi. This policy describes how the app handles your information: what stays on your device, what we collect anonymously to improve the app, and what we never collect.
Locally stored data
Your habit information is stored exclusively on your device in a local SQLite database:
- Names and settings of your habits (frequency, days of the week)
- Completion records per date
- Configured reminder times
This data is never transmitted to any external server and is permanently deleted when you uninstall the app.
Usage data collected
What is collected:
- Navigation: which screens are visited in the app
- Habit actions: creation, update, deletion and completion — including metadata such as chosen icon, frequency (daily/weekly), days of the week, and whether a reminder is active
- Consistency milestones: when a streak milestone is reached (e.g., 7, 14 or 30 days), including the streak value and habit icon
- Notifications: whether a notification was delivered or opened, the message template used, and aggregated counts of pending/completed habits on that day
- Performance: screen load times and number of habits when loading the list
- Stability: app error and crash reports
Data we never collect
- Name, email, phone number, or any personally identifiable information
- The names or content of your habits
- Geographic location
- Health or biometric data
- Data from other apps
- Payment information
Third-party services
Habi uses the following external services for analytics and stability:
Collects usage data, crash reports and performance metrics.
Google Privacy Policy →Collects usage event data for aggregated behavior analysis.
Amplitude Privacy Policy →These services may use anonymous device identifiers to associate events within the same session.
System permissions
Habi requests only notification permission, used exclusively to send habit reminders you configure. No other system access — camera, microphone, location, contacts, or files — is requested.
Data retention
Usage data is retained according to the policies of the third-party services listed above. Local habit data is deleted when the app is uninstalled.
Children
Habi is not directed at children under 13. The app collects anonymous usage data through third-party services (Firebase and Amplitude), without a parental consent mechanism in place. Parents or guardians who identify use by children under 13 should uninstall the application.
Data deletion
Local habit data can be removed at any time by uninstalling the app. To request deletion of usage data collected by third-party services, please refer to the Firebase and Amplitude policies linked above.
Changes to this policy
If this policy is updated, the new version will be published on this page with the revision date.
